Chrome Support Number

Google Chrome (commonly known simply as Chrome) is a cross-platform web browser developed by Google. It was first released in 2008 for Microsoft Windows and was later ported to Linux, macOS, iOS, and Android. Chrome was assembled from 25 different code libraries from Google and third parties such as Mozilla’s Netscape Portable Runtime, Network Security Services, NPAPI (dropped as of version 45), Skia Graphics Engine, SQLite, and a number of other open-source projects.  Call our Chrome Support Number for Technical Support.

As of February 2019, StatCounter estimates that Chrome has a 62% worldwide browser market share across all platforms. Because of this success, Google has expanded the “Chrome” brand name to other products: Chrome OS, Chromecast, Chromebook, Chrome bit, Chromebox, and Chromebase.

Most of Chrome’s source code comes from Google’s open-source Chromium project, but Chrome is licensed as proprietary freeware.  For Chrome, please let us know in our Chrome Support users forum.

Errors of Chrome Support Number

 Aw, Snap! Crash Error:

This is a popular error happens mostly due to the low memory at that point in time. The quick fix is to reload the page or free up the memory for the browser to load the page.

 ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED:

This is a clear message to indicate the internet connection is not available. The most common reason is that your WiFi connection is dropped. Possibly reset the modem and check the internet connection on other devices you have.

 ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED:

Each website address is linked to a physical IP address on the web. This is the IP address of the web server from which the website is retrieved to the requested browser window. When Chrome can’t map the website address entered to an IP address then you will see the error “ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED”.

ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR:

SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer which is a protocol to securely connect to a web server. Nowadays, Chrome insists on an SSL certificate for all websites that collect data from users. The most probable reason for this error is incorrect configuration at the server side that the data received is not understandable by Chrome.

Check the followings:

 ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT:

This is the most common error appears due to the webpage takes a long time to connect. There are two simple reasons for connection timing out the error.

ERR_CONNECTION_RESET:

Connection reset error indicates the change of IP address while viewing the page. The reasons here could be either your ISP changed something or your VPN/proxy connection might be got dropped.

You can check the internet is working fine and simply refresh the page to reopen again.

 ERR_NETWORK_CHANGED:

This is a similar error like connection reset that the network is changed while viewing the page. Check your VPN/proxy server is dropped in-between otherwise your ISP might have done some changes in the DNS settings.

In general, check after a few minutes to see to the page opening.

 ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED:

You will see the connection refused error when the web server does not allow the request received from your browser. It could be due to the site is down or the corrupted cookies stored in your browser sends wrong data. Clear the browser history and check the page is opening now.

 ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE:

The empty response error indicates that the website is not sending any data back to Chrome. Though the website could be down, most cases it is due to the wrong request send from the browser. If you are using Windows-based PC try the below-using command prompt.

Features of Chrome

Whether or not these new features will entice Internet users to give up Internet Explorer or Firefox is still up in the air, but here are the five best new features that I see in Chrome:

1.Task manager

Chrome has its own Task Manager that shows you how much memory and CPU usage each tab and plug-in is using. You can open it by clicking Shift-Esc from within Chrome.

You can get more details by clicking the “Stats for nerds” link on the Task Manager and it will open a page with a full breakdown of memory and CPU usage for each process within the browser.

2. One box for search, address, and history

Accordingly, having separate input boxes for the search bar and the address bar, Google has united the two in Chrome. Google also added history to the equation.

In this case, type something like “tech republic” in the box and it will suggest the techrepublic.com home page as well as other recently visited TechRepublic pages. Similarly to the new “Awesome bar” in Firefox 3 but Google’s “One box” includes search as well. Generally, you type “tech republic” in the box and hit return then it will simply open it in Google.com (or your default search engine).

3. Upgraded tabs

Particularly in Chrome, you can drag a tab into its own window, and drag it back to the main window. This is called “Dynamic Tabs.” Also, by default, the “New Tab” page in Chrome features a page that shows thumbnails of your most visited Web sites, a list of your recent bookmarks, and a search box that allows you to search your history.

4. New support for Web applications

Naturally, Google believes in Web-based applications and is invested in a future that includes applications running from the cloud and running in a Web browser. Consequently Web applications include Google Docs, Salesforce.com, and also Outlook Web Access.

5. Incognito browsing

Google Chrome includes an Incognito mode in which users can go to sites but nothing from that session — history, form fields, or cookies — there are saved in Chrome. Especially useful on shared computers and when viewing sensitive data through the Web browser.

6. Reopen Website tabs that you closed by mistake

Firefox 3 has this “Undo Closed Tab” option in the menu while you can open closed tabs in Opera via the Ctrl+Z shortcut.
